This album is full of original and unique songs which feature some very interesting and unusual sounds. Gotye has really experimented with sampling and the tracks are all very cleverly put together. In my oppinion are some true masterpieces on this album such as State of the Art (check out the video on YouTube!) and of course the number one that is Somebody That I Used to Know. Gotye's voice has a wide range which suits the wide variety of tracks featured on the album. This really is as album for true music lovers who want to discover a new talent.

The only thing i would say is that if you like the kind of mass-produced, commerical music that seems to fill the charts these days then this album probably isn't for you. It's not really an album you will hear in nightclubs or could have a dance to, it's more music for listening to, although some tracks are very catchy so you may still find yourself (attempting to) sing along!

Bought this Cd on the back of the massive hit single Somebody That I Used To Love, Am I pleased I invested my hard earned money in it. Well worth it,you certainly cannott pigeon hole Gotye because he covers all genres. Upto now my Cd of the year which says a lot for the amount of music I buy. Don't take my word for it give it a listen, I will be suprised if you don't end up buying it. Can't say if there are more number one singles on it. But I love it all the same. Recommend Yes I Would!!!

Great song in 'Somebody that I used to know' but the rest of the album is a little bit of a let down. No other song really jumps out at you.

This album is excellent for use in house or whilst driving....my son and I sing along to the lyrics printed in the cd booklet. We have listened over and over. Gotye is original and a very intelligent artist.

I loved Gotye's Like Drawing Blood but took awhile to listen to Making Mirrors. That all changed when I started hearing Somebody That I Used To Know. The perfect pop single, I can see why it drew people to listen to this album and to Gotye's credit the rest of the album does not dissappoint. A well-crafted, made-with-love album that truly satisfies if you are into pop with originality. Not a cent of mine was wasted buying Making Mirrors. Can't wait to see him live.

i use it in the car and on my iphone love it
