BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge 2012 is the much anticipated annual round-up of the cream of 2012's Live Lounge sessions. It acts as a barometer of who's who, and who's coming though, and shows the last year to be a very good vintage indeed. The 7th volume in the successful series includes first appearances from Emeli Sandé, Rita Ora, Usher, Fun., Labrinth, Lana Del Rey, Stooshe, Ben Howard & Mumford & Sons, alongside Live Lounge returning artists Ed Sheeran, Plan B, Florence + The Machine & Arctic Monkeys.
The first Live Lounge sessions started 11 years ago on Jo Whiley's show, and they are still going strong today under the watchful eye of Fearne Cotton, attracting the best acts in the world. The bands & artists perform their own track, and a cover version. The tracks are live and stripped down, showing the true quality of the musicianship and craft of the song. This is the ONLY place to get all these unique tracks.
