Lidia Borda, born in Buenos Aires in 1966, is the finest female tango voice in Argentina. Having sung popular and classical genres, she began to devote herself exclusively to tango in 1995, becoming one of it's leading interpreters. Admired by the public and critics, Ms. Borda consistently receives rave reviews and appreciative respect of her colleagues. Fellow outstanding Argentinean musicians she has collaborated with include pianist and arranger Daniel Godfrid, guitarist Ariel Argañaraz, cellist Paula Pomeraniec, guitarist Diego Rolon, violinist Ramiro Gallo and recently Juan Pablo Navarro, Pablo Motta, bassist Sebastian Noya and cellist Luciano Falcón, amongst yet others. Ms. Borda's latest release, 'atahualpa', features evocative interpretations of songs associated with Argentinean rural folk music.
