If you went to Jewish camp and enjoyed all of the song session music, this collection is for you... If you have babies or small children (Or know someone that does) and want to expose them to relaxing Jewish music, this collection is for you... If you simply love Jewish music, this collection is for you... The CD makes a great gift for new parents, new grandparents, and works well as instrumental wedding music also. The story behind the CD: I was a music lover from the start, introduced to various melodies as a small child. My love affair with Jewish music in particular, intensified when, as a camper at Olin Sang Ruby Union Institute in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, I was exposed to new and interesting pieces. I feel that these experiences in my youth helped to shape my life and influence my choices. I decided I wanted to play guitar one summer at camp and since then have rarely put my guitar down. I went on to become a counselor and songleader at Olin Sang. Later, as a USY youth group advisor, I met my wife during a USY weekend retreat at Camp Chi in Lake Delton, Wisconsin. One of my most treasured memories is of my wife and me singing Jewish songs late into the night, not knowing that we would go on to be married. Clearly, Jewish music has brought me great happiness throughout the years. On September, 5th 2006 my life changed. Our son, Samuel Isaac, came into this world. As always, music was important to us from the very beginning of Samuel's life. I began to look for instrumental Jewish music consisting of traditional, camp, and synagogue melodies that I grew up with. There were a few collections available, but none of them had the melodies that I was looking for. I decided to arrange, perform, and record my own versions of the music. After doing several songs, and seeing both the positive response to the music from Samuel, and the encouragement of friends and family, I decided to finish 15 tracks and release them to the public. I hope you and your family enjoy the music! For more information, contact Bradley Egel at bradegel@comcast.net.
