This recording is a commemoration of the music of the Grace Notes, an ensemble of church musicians, whose blend of spirituals, hymns, church songs, and jazz style entertained and ministered to audiences for more than ten years. This recording features the remix of five arrangements recorded when the group began performing in the twentieth century and five arrangements ten years later in the new millennium. The arrangements by A. Bruce Frazier, and Austin "Michelle" Mitchell both individually and collaboratively, created a satisfactory blend of the operatically trained voice of Patsy Chester; classically trained musicians Randolph Malachi and A. Bruce Frazier; the musical and creative nature of percussionist Vincent Rutland, and the unique styling of pianist, Austin Mitchell. Mutual appreciation, love of music, and a deep love for God unified the Grace Notes and made their performances energetic, soothing, spiritual, and inspirational.
