This is the first CD released from CM Riders which is a family band focusing on Classic Country, Western and Folk music. This release features Ron Burghard, who has been playing this type of music for over 40 years, but only recently decided to shift from a focused career in science and engineering to make more time for music. Ron started with guitar in high school trying to learn and copy songs from Duane Eddy and The Ventures and still only in his dreams of playing like Chet Atkins. The music of Johnny Horton, Patsy Cline, Jim Reeves, Brenda Lee and Hank Williams were critical in his music development in the 50's and 60's, while Kris Kristofferson, John Denver and Merle Haggard became the focus in the 70's and 80's, and we found our way back to Ian Tyson in the 90's.
