With two awards for Instrumentalist of the Year while getting his performance degree from Spring Arbor University, Folk Fingerstyle guitarist David Youngman released his 2008 Solo Guitar album. Like his main influence Bela Fleck, Youngman has been intrigued by so many styles that his Fingerstyle music tends to include elements of Jazz, Classical, and New Age genres. He has performed his blend of traditional and contemporary music at events that include the Lansing Jazz Festival, Grand Rapids Art Festival, and the Crosby Festival of the Arts in Toledo as well as numerous community concert series, churches, and more. Solo Guitar includes pieces from Leo Kottke, Alex De Grassi, Francisco Tarrega, Doyle Dykes, and J.S. Bach as well as some of Youngman's own compositions.
