A series of murders confounds local police, who find themselves following a string of mutilated corpses. Unbeknownst to them, a sadistic cult is murdering willing victims for entertainment! Professor Lafitte, a sophisticated man whose hobby is collecting souls, leads the cult. One of his students is Jack, who is obsessed with composing avant-grade music. When Jack decides to compose a concerto based on the sound of human screams, he is drawn into the professor's clutches and guided onto a dark path of self-discovery. Jack's girlfriend Claudia and his best friend Benny are journalists for the collage newspaper, and are covering the series of bizarre murders and mutilations. When Benny finally discovers that there is a connection between the murders and Jack, the final scene threatens not only Jacks creativity, but also his very life.
