Home is a record we did back in 2004 and have recently re-manufactured for re-release. The songs represent a process for us of making our sound solid as a trio. We'd explored a lot of music over the years and played with different line-ups. Robert had come on as percussionist for Odalisque and continues to use the dumbeck as primary drum on these much more western compositions. David had played eletric guitar and bass for years. On Odalisque he was doing Central Asian, Middle Eastern and North African music with bouzouki and mandolin. At this point, with Home, we were returning to what felt authentic and vital to us. Some of the music David started work on over 20 years ago, though most of the lyrics are new. It has it's moody moments, like we do, but it's mostly affirmation.
