Drummer Pat Cuttitta began his drumming career at the age of 15; growing up listening to all the rock, blues and r&b bands of the 60's and 70's. During the late 70's, jazz became a major influence in the direction of his playing. Drummers such as Elvin Jones, Philly Jo Jones, Jimmy Cobb, Tony Williams, Buddy Rich, Mel Lewis and Art Blakley to name a few; He went on to lead a fussion group in the late 70's called 'New Life' which had local success in NY and NJ. After receiving his B.A. in Music Ed and Masters in Jazz Studies at New Jersey City University; Pat Cuttitta continues to perform in the NY, NJ area. The supporting musicians on this CD are: Lou Quagliato on Tenor Sax, Joel Weiskopf on Piano, Joel Perry on Guitar and Ron Naspo on Bass.
